Dolly's Tea Party
These are my friends, they have come to take tea;
They're not at all noisy, they don't disagree.
I'm sure each behaves in a ladylike way,
Not one says a word that she ought not to say.
Of course they are dolls, they can't make a noise,
They look like young ladies, we know they are toys:
As they can't speak at all, it is certain that I
Must ask all the questions, and make each reply.
So all that I do, and all that I say,
Shall be done and be said in a ladylike way.
You'll see, dear mamma, what care I will take;
But please put me right, if I make a mistake. |
